The Security Council welcomes you to MEXMUN 2009. This year we have a very tight agenda, and we expect you to be prepared in order to expose the points of your delegation. The global situation needs immediate cooperation of all the states and its your duty as delegates to find real solutions that help to solve the issues of the international community. During MEXMUN 2009, your are not alone. In order to achieve these goals, you will need a valuable helper, which will be your chair.

Remember, we are here to help you and guide you through the debate, therefore I would like to take this opportunity to make a brief introduction of the chair, the topics, and finally some information that is going to be valuable for the debate. The chair of the Security Council is formed by the following members:

President.- Maximiliano Dives.

Moderator.- Daniela Baptista.

Conference Officer.- Lillian Bernal.

The topics in our agenda are:

TOPIC A: Drug trafficking in West Africa as an international security threat

TOPIC B: Helping the transitional government in Somalia to achieve peace and security.

The link posted above, contains substantial information about the one of the topics that is in our agenda, and also remember that's not the only source of information you have to consult, we hardly encourage you to look into past resolutions of the Security Council so you can have a wider view about the past actions of the committee.
