DISC: US and Russia hold the compromise to ensure the peaceful purposes of Iran's nuclear programme.
The US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton, US President Barack Obama, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and Russian President Dimitri Medvedev are willing to cooperate either diplomatic measures or with further sanctions in order to ensure the peaceful purposes of Iranian nuclear programme. With the purpose of preventing nuclear weapons' proliferation.
The Russian Federation, the European Union and the People's Republic of China do not agree with the establishment of sanctions on Iran; due to the fact that sanctions will not help to reach a peaceful and diplomatic solution for the current situation in Iran. However, they agree with the US to negotiate with Iran in order to avoid the creation and proliferation of nuclear weapons, as well as ensuring the peaceful purposes of Iran's nuclear programme. Nevertheless, sactions on Iran are not dismissed yet, if the negotiations do not work at all.
It is the duty of the delegates present in this committee to negotiate with the Islamic Republic of Iran and its allies in order to work out a peaceful and diplomatic solution for this international issue.
